Why you should complete this Platform Ireland questionnaire

www.platformireland.ie is a national and international internet showcase for Irish arts, craft, design, film and creative documentary. Funded by Still Point Productions and the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism, a trial version is currently demonstrating the viability and potential of Platform Ireland to become the web’s leading aggregator and distributor of Irish creative content.

Completion of this questionnaire will result in the first audit of all arts related film and video produced on the island over the last decade. The object of the audit is to will also quantify the film and video content currently available for internet broadcast and assess the huge potential for expansion, to include 'in house' as well as external productions. The data will be collated and analysed.

The data will bolster the argument for an online Irish Arts channel offering license fees to content producers. The research data will enhance Platform Ireland’s capacity to offer a new and effective promotional, sales, and marketing outlet for Irish creative product.

The data will help Platform Ireland in its quest to identify, and provide subsidised transfer and conversion services for, film and video content currently incompatible with online broadcast.

The data will be made available to other lobbyists for increased investment, in the promotion and distribution of arts related product from Ireland.
